Emily is a massage therapist, certified clinical nutritionist, international fitness instructor, Naturopathic Physician and Ayurvedic Practitioner. She is passionate about great posture, bodywork, fresh vegetables, homemade herbal tea, physical medicine, moving the body and quieting the mind, being surrounded by inspiring people, and learning every single day. She has taught fitness all over the world, and in that process, found that receiving massage and bodywork was one of the main things that kept her body healthy and in balance. Massage school taught her that she loved being a part of the healing process, and that she needed to know more about the body. And naturopathic medical school taught her that this healing process has no limits, and the education sees no end.
She owns and operates a nonprofit called Allow Healing NFP. The meaning behind the name is: Allow Yourself to Heal, in a world where chronic disease is so prevalent and we attach so strongly to our "diagnoses" that we sometimes forget that the body is so innately wise. It does know how to heal itself, given the proper environment, physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. Allow people of lower income status to have access to Naturopathic healing; insurance is not on our side, and continues to be less so and more expensive. Through these classes, and private consults, you can take control of your health and wellness and perhaps be less reliant on a physician for healing, and help those around you to to improve their health in the process. She holds monthly classes on education and home remedy herbal medicine making. Classes include topics such as: Cardiovascular Wellness, Decreasing Inflammation, Digestive Health, Boosting the Immune System, Seasonal Allergies, Detoxification 101 and Slowing the Aging Process.
